History of DTM

The German DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) or DTM for short, is one of Europe's most popular classes. The championship has been in operation since 1984. The coverage and publicity surrounding DTM is as large as Nascar or Formula F1. Click here for Web site. All Stats are accessible here

This series will be open to DTM cars from a variety of Manufacturers listed below. As new models are introduced, they will be evaluated for inclusion into future series.

Ninco  - DTM Mercedes, Audi or Opel Cars

SCX – DTM Mercedes, Audi or Opel Cars

1/Bodies/Appearance

Bodies may not be lightened

Cars will maintain all original detail pieces (diffusers, wings, roll cages etc.)

Lexan interiors/windows will not be permitted.
Interiors, roll cages may not be glued down to the chassis or prohibit viewing of chassis.

Motors must be “unopened”…any evidence of tampering will result in disqualification

Foil wrappers/Tampo RPM designations must not be removed……any unidentifiable motor will be deemed illegal for the race/series.

Foil wraps may be cut away from the can hole to provide cooling, unless this also removes printed motor specs.

Motor leads may be replaced

Motors may be glued/taped into chassis. Motor sealing tabs must remain visible (uncovered by the glue)

Front tire minimum width 8.0 mil.

No nail polish/varathane etc. coating on front tires

Aftermarket bushings (no bearings) may be used and secured to chassis with glue.

Any “solid” axles may be used.

Axle spacers may be used.

Motor shaft does not need to act as centering guide for Crown, and may be trimmed.

Weight (lead/brass) may be added to inside of chassis (no weight on underside of chassis).
